Saving One Life at a Time

Recurring Events

The Dark Side

Participants are led by guides in complete darkness through a series of ordinary situations exploring darkened galleries without being able to use their eyesight. The tour itself last about 30 to 45 minutes but the effects of the experience can last a lifetime. Everyone shares in an unforgettable experience that will enhance your perception and communication; create a greater sense of empathy, solidarity and gratitude for your other senses, and respect for those who see the world differently.

Before embarking on the journey through darkness, a brief presentation is showed about the cane, how to use a cane properly and the laws that govern the cane.

Motorcycle Safety Refresher Obstacle Course

You will have the opportunity to participate in an event that will increase your awareness, build your confidence, and give others something to talk about. Safe motorcycle riding depends largely on your knowledge and skills. The skills for motorcycling require a lot of practice. If you have just learned to handle a motorcycle and have very little riding experience, then the most important part of learning to ride is still ahead. Both tests consist of four riding evaluations that measure your control of the motorcycle and your hazard-response skills. Basic vehicle control and crash avoidance skills are included on motorcycle tests to determine your ability to handle normal and hazardous traffic situations.

The course includes: Slow Cones, Offset Wide, 360 Circle, Lane Change, Figure 8, 180 Pullout, 12 ft. Slow Cones, Box 18/24 and Quick S.

Certificate of attendance and completion will be issued after passing course evaluation level. In order to participate you must have your motorcycle and helmet. High top shoes to support your ankles, gloves and glasses are also required.
